When my brother-in-law asked me to take him to his cousins in Calatagan I was not expecting to get some birding time, but just the same I brought my walk around birding rig - 5DM2 + 300 f4 IS + 1.4 Sigma TC. I was lucky that he asked his cousins to take him to the beach where I had several minutes of birding. There where not much birds but I got to shoot the Collared Kingfisher ( Todiramphus chloris) in flight. An added bonus was the a Whimbrel ( Numenius phaeopus) The shutter rate of the 5DM2 was not good for BIF shots but was lucky to get the flight strokes of the CKF, maybe it was at a speed of the shutter rate of the camera. f8, 1/1250 sec, ISO 400, hand held f10, 1/500 sec, ISO 400, hand held
