yesterday's visit was mainly to take photos of the elusive pheasant tailed jacana. i thought it was gonna be a walk in the park but those birds are very elusive to catch. the closest i got to them with the floating blind was around half the length of a basketball court. lighting wasnt that great either as there were lots of clouds blocking the golden rays of the sun. here's what i got from the blind again with martins' help but i'll be back for those jacanas soon Purple Heron - Nikon D300 + 80-400 4.5-5.6 D VR, f/7.1, 1/320, ISO 400, manual exposure, manfrotto ballhead, floating blind:

thanks guys! The Pheasant tailed Jacana was giving me nightmares last night. its so hard to approach them with the blind. currently modifying the blind to make it lighter and smaller
