Here's another lifer for me taken from the garden in front of the house of a well-known ornithologist, Dr. Alexander Skutch. This is a male Green Honeycreeper. It's a pity I missed the equally-beautiful female. Both shots taken using 7D, 400mm, f/5.6, ISO 1250

I agree. Costa Rica is perhaps the best place to go birding. It is a major tourist destination for this kind of activity. Thanks.

What a beautiful bird. Is that a bug that is clinging on to the bird's beak? I once took a picture of a Steer's Pitta that had a bug underneath its beak and I wonder why it does not bother to shake it off. Maybe its waiting for it to creep in to his mouth. LOL. Well done Ariel & Mabuhay.
