Taken inside the garden of renowed bird ornithologist Dr. Alexander Skutch in Quizarra Perez Zeledon, Costa Rica. My guide call this "sietecolores". However, I counted the number of colors of this bird and I don't think it has seven colors. 7D, 400mm, f/5.6, 1/250s, ISO 800

Beautiful bird and capture. It looks like the head alone has 5 colors, black near the beak, lavender around the black, aqua next to the lavender, yellow around the neck, and rufous under the chin. Plus the dark brown around its body, and light color on its belly above the legs. The wings has streaks of blue along the edges which makes it stripe like. Well done Ariel & Mabuhay.

Nice shot of a beautiful bird, Ariel. Here in the Philippines, I have heard mestizos refer to the Rainbow Lorikeet (from Indonesia and Australia) as "Siete Colores".
