Got a chance to go out today and was able to see this Blue-crowned Motmot nearby. 7D, 400mm, f/5.6, ISO500

Excellent capture of a beautiful bird, Ariel. I saw Blue-crowned Motmots in Aguas Caliente below Macchu Picchu in Peru. I did not realize they have serrated beaks.

This bird is colorful and made even more beautiful with the Racquet-tail. Are these birds common in your place? You sure got close to him. Well done Ariel and Mabuhay.

This specie is common in Unibersidad La Paz. Wow if ever I get to go there, I hope I will see them. It is a beautiful bird as the picture portray the colorful & elaborate feathers and colors.
