Finally had time to process and render the footages I took of the Slaty-legged Crake's chicks jumping-off the nest a day after they hatched. Thanks to Bob and Cynthia Kaufman for letting me join their sorties and also to the Co's and the Webb's for letting us enter their subdivision in Antipolo to document this event.

That is what I would call a leap of faith. No flying feathers for the new hatchling and yet they took the jump to follow their mother. Well done Neon & Mabuhay.

This is Philippine ornithological history in film. The nesting habits of the Slaty-legged Crake has been unknown until this.
Great job, Neon!
