Was finally able to point the lens at some feathers last Sunday at the Coastal Lagoon with Bert. This guys runs back to join its friends at their feeding grounds after bravely fending off a Common Sandpiper and a Little Egret that came too close. I had to hide behind a pile of garbage for cover. Ruddy Turnstone ( Arenaria interpres, non-breeding plummage) Coastal Lagoon, Manila, 18 Sep 2011 40D, 400/5.6, ISO 400, f/5.6, 1/320 sec, manual exposure, handheld

With the migration of birds coming in, it sure looks interesting that the Ruddy Turnstone would be among them. Well done Mark & Mabuhay.

Glad to see you back shooting our avian friends, Mark! Looks like you haven't lost the touch, excellent panning, love the motion blur on the feet and ground with tact sharp body and head.
