We had a very unusual photo sortie at a house in Antipolo. It was a huge property full of trees and plants and best of all, a great viewing area in the living room. The living room was above ground level, about 2nd story high, bringing the birds to eye level. Rufous Paradise-Flycatcher, female Terpsiphone cinnamomeaf6.3, iso800, 1/125 This was from a further away perch showing the back view f6.3, iso640, 1/125 The male has a much bigger eye wattle and longer tail. The flower was growing on the ground, so this time I was looking down on the bird! Olive-Backed Sunbird Nectarinia jugularisf6.3, iso640, 1/125 Canon 5DMark2, 300 2.8, 2xtc, Feisol tripod, Markins ballhead

Beautiful set Sylvia, the second photo with the back feather details in very good light is my favorite.

Thank you for the appreciative comments!! It was a great bird photography day .. I wish all days were like that.
@tina, I met the owner of the house because we were both at a rally! It pays to attend rallies!!

A very nice capture of the Rufous Paradise Flycatcher. Its amazing that birds like this can be seen in Antipolo. Your description of the place certainly makes it my dream house. Well done Sylvia & Mabuhay.
