I have been so excited to see new lifers since I got into birdwatching and bird photography. Most of the time, if I see a sparrow, I'll just ignore it. My busy schedule, physical limitations and the seemingly weird performance of my lens pushed me to observe this very common bird. I just realized that it's as fascinating as any other birds I have seen. I was also reminded by one WBCP member that don't let eagerness to see a lifer get in the way of enjoying and understanding the behavior of commonly seen birds, like the ETS. Besides, if my memory serves me right, it is the only bird the Jesus mentioned in the Bible. Nice series Mark. I like the in-habitat composition but the images look a bit over sharpened in my monitor.
