I love these little birds, they have an amazing loud volume for such a small bird and they sing beautiful. 1D Mark IV 700mm iso 640 F 7.1 1/160 sec 1D Mark IV 700mm iso 1000 F 7.1 1/2000 sec 1D Mark IV 700mm iso 1000 F 7.1 1/1600 sec 1D Mark IV 700mm iso 1000 F 7.1 1/2000 sec Regards, Tom

Wonderful series Tom, great details and spot on exposure. These looks like very close captures, the tail is not yet sharp even at f7.1. Did you use a hide to get this close?

Thanks Ray, I didn't use a hide, he was looking for insects on the ground and came back to the same spot several times, i sat there on the ground and after about 15 minutes he came close enough and i could make this series at about a distance of 5 meters, so you are right he was very close Tom

I like all but I love the first one the most... a tiny bird in praise! Thanks for sharing. Lydia
PS. Now I am curious about the bird call of the Wren... let me check out some sites.
