I was able to take LOUSY pictures of this unusual bird in Villa Escudero yesterday while Tonji, Sylvia and I were looking for birds in Villa Escudero yesterday. Tonji and Sylvia should have fantastic looking pictures/video compared to the ones I was able to take. I find the 500mm way too heavy these days that's why I opted to bring just my 300mm because I was expecting to do a lot of walking at BK valley earlier - sigh what a BIG mistake!!! HeEHheHE it's a good thing that we all learn from our mistakes ;D Most of you know that I ABSOLUTELY love bee-eaters. I have seen my share of bee-eaters but this is the very first time that I have seen a white one. Thank you Mela for welcoming us again at Villa Escudero and to Ramon Q. letting us hang around his place in BK Valley and Dion for also welcoming us and taking us around BK Valley. It's always nice to be around old friends and meet new ones too. leucistic blue-tailed bee-eater ? ?

You're welcome, Tina. It was fun hosting so many birders at BK Valley yesterday.
We also had fun with Bob and Cynthia Kaufmann this morning, with a furious 15 minutes of shooting of citrine canary flycatchers, sulfur-billed nuthatches, blue-headed fantails, balicassiaos, yellow and lowland white-eyes, and red-crested malkohas.
What an unusual Bee-Eater! I am now planning to check out Villa Escudero, since it is only 25 minutes drive from BK Valley. Thanks.
