Tarcoles is a town located just beside the Carara National park. The place is famous for its rivers full of crocodiles. But aside from these reptiles, a lot of bird species can also be seen in the area and the most beautiful of all is the Scarlet Macaws, which can be easily spotted in the area at any given time. Tarcoles/Carara National Park is one of only two places here in Costa Rica where these birds can be seen and I am glad that I'm just 50mins away from this place. 400mm, f/5.6, 1/3200s, ISO200 400mm, f/8.0, 1/250s, ISO400 400mm, f/8.0, 1/250s, ISO400

Very nice Ariel. It looks like they cannot keep still. These birds must have the most red feathers in its species. Cheers & Mabuhay.

Thanks Ely! I saw about five pairs in one tree during this trip. I was able to come close when the owner of the private lot where the tree is located allowed me to enter the farm. I will post more in the days to come. Regards!
