Last year, I was fortunate to go on a trip to Europe and did minimal birding. The 70-200mm lens and a 1.7xTC came along, but hardly got to use it. While in Venice, I managed a few Touristy bird shots.

I had to feed the pigeons in Venice's Piazza San Marco, to complete my Tourist experience. But it looks like the pigeons got the better of me!

He-he. Looks like a lot of fun.
When were you there? From the way people are dressed, looks like we may have been there same time. But we kept away froom the birds. Wife's got ornithophobia.

That was right in the beginning of July last year. It was really hot!

Must've been. We were there early part and late part of May and it was already warm.
Wife and I loved the place so much we'll be skipping meals to save money for going back.

The first photo (sparrow?) looks similar to our ETS. Nice shots, TJ!

They are gorgeous photos- thanks for posting them. Even the urban Survivors are interesting birds, that city dwellers so often forget and over-look. I love you captures:)
