Hi guys, green backed whistler or furtive flycatcher?

Not an expert opinion of course, this looks like a Green-backed to me because the tail of the Furtive is supposed to have an orange rufous base and dark brown tip as mentioned in the Kennedy Guide.

Thanks rey. I actually had this as GBW when I noticed the yellowish/orangy highlights on the outer tail feathers which the GBW does not have. IN the KG, seems only the Furtive does have those highlights. The light-greyish forehead also confuses me. Could it be a snowy-browed?

Try to focus on the structure rather than the colours - which can be inaccurate in the KG and also vary geographically and also between individuals. The thick, blunt-tipped bill is typical of whistlers and you might have noticed the size of the bird. Furtive is tiny!
