It's been sometime that I had some serious birding sortie. I decided to go to Sagada during the lenten to pay tribute to wonders of the Great Creator. I was blessed with my 161st lifer, my 3rd this year of 2011 and my 3rd woodpecker species. White-bellied Woodpecker, Sagada, Mountain Province Canon 50D, EF 400mm f5.6L, Manfrotto 755XB/Gimbal Shot @ f5.6, 1/60", ISO320

Wow! look at that punk hairdo! This is the most closest photo of the WBWP I've seen. Excellent detail on this one, Toto!

I have taken a picture of this specie but it comes no where close to what you got. And I was just saying that I have not seen you posting. Well done Toto & Mabuhay.

Been off with birding for months now as work really gets in the way. So I grabbed the chance of going to Sagada as time permits. I was just lucky to be at the right place at the right time with this bird I am sure you will get a much closer shot soon.

Wow, what a punk hairdo! But it really emphasizes the red crown! Excellent bro!.... btw, I'm noticing the notorious magenta cast in all your recent shots, bro.

I have recently reformatted my PC and still have not calibrated the monitor. I dont see the cast on my end ... i guess I'll need to recalibrate my monitor.
