Hi guys.. went to some locations to hunt for Wandering Whistling Ducks that I was able to photograph flying yesterday. Also saw a Jacana flyby this morning. Went back this afternoon but all I got were these consolation prizes.. Pacific Swallow Camera Nikon D90 Exposure 0.001 sec (1/1000) Aperture f/5.6 Focal Length 400 mm ISO Speed 100 Handheld Common Moorhen Camera Nikon D90 Exposure 0.006 sec (1/160) Aperture f/5.6 Focal Length 400 mm ISO Speed 200 Handheld and the reason I am sharing.. a docu shot of Black Crowned Night heron hunting behavior Camera Nikon D90 Exposure 0.002 sec (1/500) Aperture f/5.6 Focal Length 400 mm ISO Speed 200 Handheld I always thought Night herons would fly in and swoop down to catch fish. Didn't know they also perched half submerged while waiting for food. Thanks for looking!
