Yes, two oriental cuckoo at the same place where Adri got his photo. Thanks, Adri for the info and directions! We (Tonji&Sylvia and Bob) were able to get good views of two individuals, a sub-adult and an adult. Oriental Cuckoo ( Cuculus optatus) 5DM2 + 600 f4 IS + 2x Kenko TC, f 4.0, 1/250 sec, ISO 500, Tv priority, + 1/3 EV, Tripod-Gimbal support in available light. Sub-adult 5DM2 + 600 f4 IS + 2x Kenko TC, f 4.5, 1/250 sec, ISO 500, Tv priority, + 2/3 EV, Tripod-Gimbal support in available light. Adult

Neon, your officially back. The first shot is superb! And wow, I have not even unpacked my gear or seen the pics of my last three birding trips and you already posted your shots from this afternoon, hehe. Very nice. Great DOF control with f4.

Very nice as usual. Well done Neon &Mabuhay. I recently took a picture of a Brown one that KGB says is a Oriental Cuckoo. What is the difference between the brown and grey?

@ Ely - as labeled, the brown one is a sub-adult with still some barring on its neck to be molted in to a solid gray of the adult.

Two cuckoos? I think there were more cukoos there bringing heavy cameras and gimbal heads. He, he. Worth all the trouble of heavy gears. Ganda. telyds
