I've been out of the loop for quite sometime and was left drooling with all the adventures and sorties the members of this forum did in the past few months, with top quality photos to boot. Luckily I have my HDD with me to simulate a sortie. Please feel free to post your Kingfisher captures in this thread so that we can view the diversity of this particular family. I think we have all the species for this group already and to view them all together in one thread would be awesome. I went back to where I first met Toto and Edu back in February 6, 2009 at the back of the FC building at UPD where we were stalking this fella. Went through the photo set and found this not yet posted photo with a nice head turn. Spotted Wood-Kingfisher ( Actenoides lindsayi) Canon 40D + 600 mm f4 IS + 2x Kenko TC, f7.1, 1/13 sec, ISO 200, Manual exposure, MLU, remote shutter, tripod gimbal suport, under available light, Distance 8.0m
