hi telyds, great birds!
yes, first is asian drongo cuckoo the 2 birds after the iora is a grey-cheeked bulbul (proposed to be split and become Palawan bulbul, i think, another endemic) the BIF looks like a little spiderhunter while the next one is a Green Imperial Pigeon and a white-vented shama
congrats! where can we see the pics of your butterflies?

@tina: there were about 50 of them, I think, but the ones that perched on the tree numbered about 36, some kept on flying. They were so noisy that you can't miss them. We were walking back to our van with very few butterflies for the day and luckly, lucky-- you are right, because I was trailing behind my companions, some of whom are Hong Kong birdwatchers. In Tanabag, I was able to photograph only the dronggo and these Mynahs. All the rest were in Port Barton, another 2 hours from this place. @ely: because there were very few butterflies, that is why. Oh if only I had your lens... esp in Port Barton, you just stand in one spot and shoot-shoot-shoot. The dove, bulbul, spider hunter, iora, beautiful sunbirds and many others I can't identify. Adri Constantino, it's a good place to bring birdwatchers. To make it less costly, a group of at least 6 should go. Thanks for the id. @alain. Thanks, Alain. I posted some of the butterflies in FB.

@jv. It was pure delight on what I thought was an empty day. Thanks. mark, my idol, I was suprised when the drongo suddenly flew in. It did not see me right away and when it did, i was already focused and very stiff still. Good thing my guide froze, too. I guess it was just the greedy clicking of the camera that shooed it away.

Hi Lydia Do come to Bangkong Kahoy, Dolores, Quezon, again. We met last year while you were butterfly photo-shooting. I was with my nephew, Ramon J. Quisumbing, and he recently built a house (on Dion Pulan's property) with a good view deck for bird watching. I love the organic vegetables of Dion. My cf#0916-482-2737.
