Hi, am strictly a dudgiscoper so I won't even try attaching anything. This is both an intro (Ipat Luna, envi lawyer) and an invite.
Sorry for such short notice but the Mayor of San Nicolas, Batangas called me today and asked if I could invite birders to check out their proposed sanctuary on Taal Volcano Island. He will provide lodgings Friday night (that's today, March 4) so we can leave for the volcano early Saturday morning.
Bonus kayak trip down Pansipit River if we get there early enough Friday afternoon (or even after birding on Saturday).
Any PBPF'ers interested?

Great to see you around, Ipat!
I've heard a lot of exciting avian sightings on the island. I wish I can join, but I'll be out of town this weekend. Looking forward to your trip report (and photos).

Hi all,
Yannie is writing up the trip report. The grebes have finally made a comeback in Taal this year, after so long. We saw nine of them and two coots. An Osprey, too and the usual other suspects. Egrets and night herons galore and purple and gray herons you could almost touch.
Anyway, the Mayor wants to host birders and bird photographers again third week of March. Kayo na daw pumili ng date(s).
