Was able to test fire the Nikon D7000 today coupled with the 200-400VRII Eurasian Tree Sparrow ( passer montanus) Camera Nikon D7000 Exposure 0.003 sec (1/400) Aperture f/4.0 Focal Length 400 mm ISO Speed 1800 Exposure Bias +1 EV Tripod Subject distance 5.01m Cropped with ACR, adjusted levels. The line was long for the test shots today.. can't wait for my long term test.

Hi there Edu, Ive been waiting for somebody to post a shot taken with D7000. Often I push my ISO to get the exposure along with it the unwanted noise, this camera is said to have good high ISO handling plus the higher MP. Great shot and detail you got there with the sparrow at 1800 ISO Have you tried it with your 80-400mm

Hi Lawrence, thanks for taking the time to view and comment. The D7000 was attached to the 200-400 as a demo rig today and they would not allow the audience to take it off from the tripod to test. Luckily I was not part of the audience.. Brown Shrike ( lanius cristatus) Camera Nikon D7000 Exposure 0.002 sec (1/500) Aperture f/5.6 Focal Length 400 mm ISO Speed 800 handheld This is not such a nice sample photo as I wasted the pixels by cropping to 30% of the original size. I am in line to conduct a full review of this camera body.. can't wait!

Hi Lawrence,
I just "borrowed" it for a while to shoot with my 80-400. The Brown Shrike is with the 80-400 and I can see either the D7000 doesn't focus properly or the unit I tested was calibrated for the 200-400.
