I will be happy with those birds too. The enthusiasm to go birding might have rusted a bit but the quality of the pictures are as good as they use to be. Well done Tina & Mabuhay.

Great shots as always Tina! i bet these would have looked exactly the same even if you shot them with a 20D.

Thank you so much for the kind words Ely, JV and Bobby JV, actually the 7D of sila Tonji has been with me for a little over a week na and in all honesty... I would settle for another 40D in my hands. Majority of my pictures were not good at all. I was ready to get myself a 7D and then Tonji offered to lend it to me. Good nalang I did! Otherwise, I would have regretted it big time

I never bought the 7D due to it's inconsistent focus, specially in burst shooting. The 60D is more consistent in my experience and much cheaper. Regards, Bobby K.

I will take a serious look at it then I really need another body for fliers. And so the search continues....

Naku, I was reading the specs just now and seems like the 60D is slower than the 40D Anyway, will still take a look at the reviews and see pa din. I might just use this for the non fliers if I do decide on this one. Mahal naman kasi ng 1DM4 !!! (as if naman I can carry than camera pa together with my 500mm - LOL or even afford it! ) Thank you Ate Lyds

Hi Gabs. Wency and I were supposed to pass by Candaba last Saturday before heading to Subic but I decided to just go straight to Bataan and skip Candaba. Sayang would have seen you guys there pala if we went and baka nakunan ko din the starlings. So glad you liked the pictures. Thank you Gabs. Dali na go to Santa Cruz. When we were there, there were a lot of stilts, brahminy kites, egrets siyempre, small waders, 2 whimbrels. 1 osprey, lots of goats - LOL and other birds. You have to go early. My mistake was that as usual got tamad to wake up super early kaya we got to Santa Cruz late na. From Subic, Santa Cruz is about 2 hours drive pa if you go early or much less if you drive really fast

Fantastic imagery as always Idol Tins. It's been awhile since I've seen your excellent captures. My favorite is the Egret in breeding plumage.

The 40D's AF can't hold a candle to the 60D's AF system (All 9 points are cross-type already!) The 5.3 fps is fast enough for our use :-) And it's also lighter than the 40D, I think. :-) Bobby K.

Love the Osprey Tina. Details and exposure looks very good despite the bad light you mentioned. Interesting and surprising info in the 7D versus the 60D most net reviewers seem to lean towards 7D.
