We just got back yesterday from a 5 day trip to Bislig. The group was composed of Nilo, Doc Chito, Rey, Alain, Sylvia and myself. Sylvia and I got at least 17 photo lifer species plus 15 new races. I am sure everyone who went will show a bunch of great pics. It was a great trip and we hope to go back soon to get the ones we missed and to improve on a bunch of photos. This was one of my most memorable birds of the trip. Owls are my favorite. I have only photographed 5 species of owls including this one. Its always a great treat for me to see an owl and its even better when I get to photograph one. There is something about the big round eyes of the owl that makes them look so likable. Add the black iris to the bright yellow around it, voila you have a unique face that one can only like. You got a handsome owl with this capture. Well done Tonji. Mabuhay.

Wow, great details. If not for the obstructing branches, it could have been perfect. Congrats Tonji. Awaiting the rest of your captures.

Beautiful capture, Tonji. Look at those eyes... Like the others, waiting for the rest of the harvest.
