(note: reposted/revised from Wild Birds of the Philippines thread) Corregidor, called "THE ROCK" is one of my favorite islands of the Philippines. It has a lot of stories to tell (see Ely's post in the Wild Birds of the Philippines and google and check this very interesting link which helped me have a meaningful first visit to the historical national heritage (http://www.corregidor.org/ ). I did a butterfly survey of the island many years ago and also introduced bird watching and rock balancing to the island as "other nature activities" in coordination with Corregidor Foundation and Sun Cruises. I am happy to know that in their recent meeting, Sun Cruises hopes to make the whole island into a Bird and Butterfly Sanctuary, not in cages but flying free. Nurturing Trees will propose tree planting of wildlife friendly trees. one of the 35 species of butterflies in Corregidor see me rock piling many years ago my free passport to the island and its facilities, here's the link: www.corregidorphilippines.com/activities.htmlGang, if you want to go to Corregidor on a special arrangement, I can manage a good deal with Sun Cruises, only for PBPF members. telyds
