Nilo A., Doc LoyCo, and yours truly went to Olango Bird Sanctuary for some birding fix, and I was so delighted with the AF response of the 60D that I only shot fliers - well mostly. Here are some of my better captures that day, Jan. 08, 2011. Canon EOS 60D; Exposure 1/2500; Aperture f/6.3; EF-400 mm; ISO 400 Exposure Bias +1 EV; Hand-held in available light :-) Pair of WhimbrelsGrey-tailed TattlerGrey PloverRuddy TurnstoneGull-billed TernLesser SandploverThanks for looking at my photos - Nilo and Doc LoyCo will post theirs soon too! Best regards! BobbyK

Thank you vey much guys! using 9-point AF on the 60D makes bIF shooting a whole lot easier really, you should try it! :-)

Very good BIf series Bobby.
Looks like the 60D can hold its own against it's bigger brothers!
How do you find the burst shot speed and the shutter lag?

Fantastic BIF series Bobby, the pair of Wimbrels is over the top. By the way, I can detect a strong magenta cast in my monitor in this excellent capture.

Thanks Dennis and Ralf - really appreciate your kind comments! :-) Fantastic BIF series Bobby, the pair of Wimbrels is over the top. By the way, I can detect a strong magenta cast in my monitor in this excellent capture. Yes, I notice it too, after looking closely at the photo. Might have forgotten to check the WB on that one. Thanks for the heads-up, Rey! :-) Bobby K.

I've corrected the magenta cast here: Thanks again for viewing! Bobby K. Great job in pushing back the unwanted cast Bob, looks definitely the best Wimbrel image I've ever seen.

Very good BIf series Bobby. Looks like the 60D can hold its own against it's bigger brothers! How do you find the burst shot speed and the shutter lag? Sorry I missed this, Ralph! The burst at 5.3 fps could be better, but we live with what we have. Shutter lag is negligible considering the acquisition speed of the 60D. Once it's tracking a BIF, it grabs it and won't let go as long as you do your part well enough! :-) Sincerely, Bobby K.
