This was in Ayala Alabang, before Christmas. On the plus side, the bird perched on a relatively low (for this bird) branch. On the minus side, we were shooting against the light. Nice encounter with this bird at a lower level than usual. Even if its backlit you captured it very well. Mabuhay.

Very nice captures despite the backlit situation. This is where fill flash will be a great help to produce more details and brighten the birds image.

Thanks Ely, Paolo and Rey! I'm pretty happy with these shots, they're an improvement over my previous shots of this bird.
Rey -- Tonji was taking with flash, but he wasn't that thrilled with the results and hasn't processed them yet. Will still be interesting to see his version with the flash for comparison.
