I was so dead tired when I arrived the other night. I never got to check the forum. I'm now celebrating with hubby in some dark place to make up for my lakwatsa. Goody good, there's internet access free for overnight. Adrenalin is up because of your warm posts. Maraming, maraming salamat.
Every year since I turned golden, I decided that I'd spend my birthday away from work and do what I love to do (with the permission of my family, of course). There were birthdays spent chasing butterflies in Mt. Apo, inPalawan (wading thru rivers in Irawan), with congregating butterflies in Makling and rock piling in Corregidor. Last Thursday was different from the previous ones- This grandma spent it with the greats of PBP. (Oh Tina and Ixi, I was torn between joining you in Makiling and checking out the butterflies of Bataan Nuke). Yes, Ka Romy, the Smart cell site sidetrip on the way home was the highlight of the trip. That was fun. The view from the top was awesome. We had the view of Mt. Samat coming out of the pinkish clouds on one side, a dozen raptors perched on a leafless tree with the fiery sunset beside, and the blue dormant Mt. Natib volcano on the other side. Watching Ka Romy making rapid fires, (like emptying a pack of ammunition), to capture the purple needle tail with an ear to ear glee and chuckles like a young boy in a game, made my day. Carmela, yes, it was like us reminiscing piko, taguan and tumbang preso. Ka Romy was a child again. Rare, wonderful experiences that make us young, what other better way to spend a birthday. Sayang JP, Martin, Manny, Rey and Perla went ahead of us.
Thank you Martin for going out of your way to pick me up, JP for offering a ride, and Manny for navigating during the trip. You boys were so funny! It made the trip so much shorter. Thanks Neon for the lift back, and for mentioning Ka Romy's last hirit.
Thank you Bob for the prayer wish. Nestor, Ding, TJ for the greetings. (oh sad, you missed a lot and we missed you) Tina for the beautiful e-card and the beauiful purple camera protector bag and the beautiful HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU duet with IXI. Ixxxxxi, thanks ha and we'll miss you. Bobby for the MMS (? have not gotten, where?) and again, the binocs. Rey, thank you , too. The pandesal and the ham will become the official breakfast everytime I go.
I thank God for my friends in PBP. My prayer is - may the good Lord, the CREATOR, bless you all with happiness even beyond what birds can give- because He can.
Many smiles, Lydia aka telyd
