Great harvest Doc Chito! I have a trip to Cebu lined up in November. Is that a good time of year to go to Olango?

Nice set.
I plan to be in Negros at the end of the year. I hope to make a side trip to Olango and do some photography.
I read in an article somewhere that there is an enforced minimum distance between viewers and birds. Is this correct? Also, are the pump boats big enough so your gear doesn't get splashed on?
I'm looking forward to seeing the sanctuary.

If you do plan to visit Olango, please look at the Tide table on some calendars and time your trip for peak high tides at 1.0m to 1.2m. - these are the best times to shoot the birds there. Any higher and they'll be in the mangroves by high tide and you'll be up to your waist in cool, clear, so refreshing water. Any lower, and you'll have to trudge a mile in order to get close to them - if they don't fly away. :-)

Of course ate lyds you can sketch any of the pics. Thanks for the comments ate lyds, Master Romy, Nestor and Chris. Chris I did not see any enforce minimum distance rule though probably not a big issue as these birds will not allow you to really get close without a hide. Be prepared though to wade in the cool water but under the heat of the sun or be expose to rain -so be sure to bring some water proofing material for your gear. Good photo hunting chris. Chito
