I was rummaging on my HDD for unprocessed photos from my Palawan sortie when I chanced upon this. Is this an adult Crested Goshawk (Accipiter trivirgatus palawanus) endemic? I got the immature at a closer range.

Wow, these are very good captures Neon, the immature is a killer. Yes, I think this is Crested and not Chinese. Got one in Palawan too and was ID'd just this week by Des and Steve. The telling features are the bigger bill and the overall browness of the mantle. It's a lifer for me but it's too darn distant that I didn't post it here. Anyway, here it is just for your reference.
