Thanks a lot guys. That's way too big for a fly Neon, it's a small specie of honeybees that abounds near the JEST camp, as told to me by one of the personel in the Camp. Earlier I also thought it was a fly.

Earlier I also thought it was a fly. He he he...still I think it's a fly ;D...anyway just to make a comparison bees eyes are not that big, fly's are; the antenna is a lot thicker on bees with a constant diameter, not like a fly with a thicker base; Flies have one pair of wings which your photo has, bees have two pairs...therefor this one is a fly. ;D Cheers, Neon the Beekeeper

Ooops, so I was giving a lecture to a Certified Birdnut BeeKeeper. Sorry Neon, I believe you, you're the expert here. Never thought flies could be that big.

Wow Rey! Awesome shot!! You captured the `metallic' quality of the colours of the bee eater so well in that shot. Nice shot of the bee too!

Bees 2. Geology 3. Fastest route from airport to Manila bird spots. ;D ;D ;D

So long as no-one tells the Bee-eater that its not really a bee, I think we'll all be ok
