Mark and I were resting under the shade of a tree when all of a sudden three Golden-belllied Flyeaters came and started foraging among the branches. Talk about serendipity Canon 5D MkII, 500mm + 1.4X, ISO-2500, f9, 1/640, tripod, subject distance=5.4m

Great shot, Bob! The eye lords over the entire picture, so sharp! The spiderwebs there add drama to the picture!

Beautiful photo of one of my favorites. Getting a good photo of this melodious and "dainty" (description of Professor Jun O. of UP-NISMED) bird has been one of my frustrations. The bird is almost never in the open with good light and almost never stops for a photo.

Great shot! It needs just a tad of fine sharpening on the breast feathers, IMO. (But that's just me).

That is certainly a very close encounter for the Golden-bellied Flyeater. Congratulations Bob. Mabuhay.
