Ohhhhhhhh Romy and Rey, you guys are just so sweet! That's why I love this group, nice people.... By the way, is this the proper place to post this question? I will be leaving this Friday to go to Sydney to be with my daughter and son-in-law. I will be there a month. Can someone point me to nice places to go birding? I know there are a LOT of nice places and birds there. My daughter says her garden alone is full of birds! Will I be able to meet some of our Australian friends who are members in this forum??? ix! IXXXXXXXXS, ask Alice Villareal. She has done birding in Sydney twice recently. Check her posts in WBCP. Check out the bell birds. Dunno if they have those in Sydney but in Melbourne, there are lots. By the way, this is the first time I've come across a cow described as so cute -- cow-ute, you mean. Moooo, lyd

Neon, great shots!!! Love the bee eater! You are really good! And Holy cow! I love, really, really love that capture of IXI. That kind of capture is the only billboard I will approve for EDSA/SLEX, and I will pull aside to watch it. I'd call it BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Hmmm, you can sell that to the ad agencies promoting farm villages. But Ixi]s modelling fee is prime. And that smile, priceless. Neon, that, I'd say is one of your best shots other than birds. Congratulations model and shooter on the loose. te lyd Thanks Te Lyds!! You can just imagine what distance I needed to run to to get a full frame shot!! So that explains Ixi's expression. She really made sure you caught her big grin. So she probably whispered "Stay put or I'll punch your balls". Pardon me, that's from an old joke where the Pinoy won a contest on how one can make an elephant shake its head. lyd

I wonder if there are other birds that hunts this way.

Ha ha ha! , Ixi, The common Kingfisher landed on the dam just beside my car inside the fenced area. I went across the single log bridge to go to the other fishponds and look for the tabon bird, no tabon bird but I was able to shoot several others. Yes, it was all after you left ;D

Hi Neon, Congrats on this amazing shot of the Pipit, one of the best I've seen - great detail, superb pose, nice eye contact, excellent low angle, good exposure and classic environment. If ok with you, I'll put it up as our next Featured Bird. Romy
