With the camera still waiting for parts replacement and my schedule fully loaded lately, I'm reduced to scouring old photos resting in the hard drive. Here are a few shots from last year. Brown Shrike ( Lanius cristatus) UP Diliman, Quezon City, 18 Nov 2009 40D, 400/5.6 L, ISO 320, f/8, 1/40 sec, manual exposure, tripod/gimbal This one is from the La Mesa boating/birding trip organized by Mr. Pitt. Oh I miss Ding's posts. Osprey ( Pandion haliaetus) La Mesa Watershed, Quezon City, 19 Dec 2009 40D, 400/5.6 L, ISO 400, f/5.6, 1/800 sec, manual exposure, handheld on a boat

Beautiful captures Mark. The Brown Shrike is one of the best I've seen.

These two captures are very nice.
The feather detail of the Brown Shrike contrasts nicely with the creamy green bg.
The Osprey shot has a nice artistic feel with the DOF effect on the wings.
I hope they fix your gear soon.

Thank you Rey, Toto, Gabs, and Tonji for the comments. Much appreciated. It might take a little more time to get back my gear, so for now I'll just try to re/process old photos to keep sanity from snapping.
