Please don't laugh!! I do not not know how to pronounce the word `bokeh' . How do you pronounce it? Is it pronounced something like `Bouquet' (as in bouquet of flowers' ) or more like `Bocca'?? My partner and I are so stumped, that we just call it `bucket' because its funny:) Whenever we get a shot with good bokeh, we say its got `good bucket' It really embarrassing not knowing. This year I met and birded with a highly seasoned Australian bird photographer, and when i asked him, he said he didn't know what I meant! Maybe Aussies don't use the word? And I'm too scared to use the word verbally in case I pronouce it incorrectly. Please help:)

Here's a link to the origin of the use of the Japanese-derived term in English language: www.luminous-landscape.com/columns/sm-04-04-04.shtmlIn a similar vein, the original term "Sigmonster" was coined by yours truly to refer to my Sigma 300-800 DG. I used to call mine the "Sigma Monster" in various photo forums. I shortened it to Sigmonster, and that monicker caught on. ;D

Wow, it's nice to know you were the one who coined that term. Congratulations. How about the 200-500 f/2.8?

Wow, it's nice to know you were the one who coined that term. Congratulations. How about the 200-500 f/2.8? There are many threads about the naming of this beast in various photo forums, but I think the honor of naming it should be given to the first forum-active buyer of the lens. Some suggestions I had a chuckle on: 1. Tyrannnosaurus EX 2. Sigzilla 3. Sigmonster's Mother 4. Biggestma 5. Sigmarine

That's some nice suggestions Sir Romy. I love the Sigmarine -- the lens sure looks like a submarine. Others call it the Sigmammoth.
