Been extremely busy that past weekends. And now that the first time I have a free weekend, got struck with some sort of flu some days back.
On the bright side, I get to lay down in the Lanai and listen to the grassbirds, whiteeyes, sunbirds, doves, and coucals. Try it one time. Close your eyes in the middle of a meadow, garden, or woods; smell the grass, and listen. And get lost. It heals.

so you got bit by the bug as well pala. good to hear you're getting well. pardon the pun but what you described does sound familiar. jp and i were out in trece martires last year waiting for the ducks to come out and we found a good spot under the low-lying trees with some brush cover. we both dozed off as it was such a peaceful place, what with the frogs croaking.... just one of the other comforts we get out of birding.

Hope you're feeling better, Ding.
I miss those quiet communions with nature. You can't do that here. Parks are never that quiet, there will always be dogs and/or kids, although I've seen some homeless people doze off while sitting on picnic tables.
