Just installed the ACR 6.1 and tried it's noise reduction. This is the first time I've been comfortable in using NR, Here's a sample ISO 2000 capture. High noise on high ISO captures would be a thing of the past. ;D

of course it helps to have an excellent photograph like this to start with night vision might be just right around the corner!

Neon could you post the pre-NR'd shots. On a H-IPS display your bird looks great.

Hi Pao, The 5DM2 handles high ISO noise pretty well so only slight adjustment was needed and this was a big crop, noise will be more pronounced on smaller crop like the one (Brown tit-babler) I posted earlier. birdphotoph.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technique&action=display&thread=5997Anyway here is the pre-NR shot.

Nice NR job partner! ACR 6.1's NR works amazingly well even with the 7D. Here's a sample at ISO 12800.
