I was so happy to read the news item but disappointed that the STAR did not exert effort to highlight the recorded birds by soliciting pictures and putting them in the front page. Si Ati-Glue was highlighted = Ati-atihan with glued feathers. Ate Glo was able to name the birds in her speech with the help of Mike Lu and special coaching from the Dutch Ambassador Robert when she almost missed their names. But the good thing daw was, she seemed interested and asked Mike the right questions without pretenses. Sana the dailies will show more of t he birds of Candaba and write about their amazing flight for survival. If God enables them to travel this far with great navigational skills, to survive the harsh winter from their country of origin, hunting even the most ordinary of them is a crime.
