Hello Everyone! How are you today? I hope you are enjoying your days so far! Today I have been looking around for a new Camera neck strap, because the one my second hand 20D came with is a bit worn through, and I don't feel so happy with it supporting heavy L lenses. HOLY COW!!! There are SO many choices, its unbelievable! Anyway, I narrowed it down to one that looks interesting to me, that has quick release and suspension, made of neoprene. That sounds so fancy, but its actually an inexpensive item. I wanted to ask your opinion about this strap: The link is below: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00007E816/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_topI will be hand holding my equipment most of the time, so I am thinking a good neck strap could help. Any other suggestions?

Hi Bindi. The Op/Tech Pro Loop strap is the camera strap that I use for all my cameras, binoculars (the heavier ones) and even some of my photo bags. It's very sturdy and yet comfortable. Somehow the strap makes the camera+lens combo seem a little lighter when worn on the neck compared to the regular straps. The quick release strap is very versatile because you can remove the neck strap portion if you just want to carry your camera around using a much shorter strap or when you want to store your camera in the drybox. I've made it a habit to put all the neckstraps at the handle of my photo bag whenever I remove them so that I don't forget them at home. Good luck with your search for the right strap that will make you happy

Hello Tina!
Thankyou for that info; its good to know that you use one of these. It looks very practical to me.
Today my 300mm L IS arrived! I am so happy with it, and also relieved that it arrived safely from Overseas. The 20D now has a battery pack on it, and with the new lens I will appreciate a better neck strap.

Hi
I totally agree with csmallari. The Op/Tech Pro Loop strap are the ones that I have, I'm very happy with it. I have one on the 500mm, another in the camera. They never fail and are easy going to the neck. 100% recomended.

I'm sure the OpTech strap's good. But to confuse you a bit, here's what i use It's the Tamrac Leather (suede) strap. At first, I was skeptical becauise I thought leather woulld smell bad after it has absorbed all my sweat. But it still doesn't smell after three years (or my friends are all polite). And supple texture is great on my neck. I also like the two CF card pockets where I keep my spare cards.
