This is a common bird in Mt. Kinabalu park. It a mountain bird found at 900 to 2900 meters and is endemic to Borneo. Olive green on top with yellow underparts. When I would see this bird it would not sit still and pose. But I saw it eating a worm it perched in one spot and was able to take a few shots. What you said sounds familiar if you compare it with the Golden-bellied flycatcher that we have here. There seems to be some resemblance if you compare. Beautiful capture. Well done Tonji. Mabuhay.

When I compare the two birds the color is kind of similar but the GBFE has a soft pale yellow color this bird has a much brighter yellow. It is also much bigger around 6cm bigger than the GBFE. But they are indeed both very active and resist our urges to pose.

Thanks Edu and Ariel. It was one of the most fun birding trips I've had yet. Here is the Bornean Mountain Whistler with the worm I mentioned. At first I thought it was bubble gum because of the colors. But then I realized that maybe even the worms here are colorful!
