There was a breeding pair of OMPR at my father's farm that chose to nest just on top of a seldom used door. I was surprised to see this male OMPR with a snake on its beak. It usually stop at a "pomelo" tree before it proceed to the nest. After, it picks up the fecal sack and fly away, as observed from other cup shape nest building bird. 5DM2 + 600 L f4 IS + 1.4x Sigma TC, f8, 1/100 sec. ISO 3200, Tv priority, + 1/3 EV, Tripod-Gimbal suppot in available light.

If that is a snake, the bird sure knows how to kill it before it does him any harm. What a great shot. Well done Neon. Mabuhay.

Stunning shot, Neon! I am wondering how the MagpieRobin would eat such an elongated prey. Hopefully you got more shots or even a video.
