Got this today at UPD! while practicing on flash handling. Philippine Pygmy Woodpecker ( Dendrocopos maculatus) - UPD, May 16, 2010 5DM2 + 600 L f4 IS + 1.4x TC + 580EX II, f 5.6, 1/400 sec, ISO 400, +1 EV, Tv priority, Tripod-Gimbal support.

I think you are getting there with the flash. Are you using it TTL? Picture came out good with enough brightness and a lot of details as if no flash was used. Well done Neon. Mabuhay.

Thanks Ely, I was experimenting on manual mode as I find TTL ("Tapon Tapon Light" according to Wency ;D) too flash dependent, meaning the main lighting is the flash, as it makes a darker BG than the actual ambient light.

Great job with the flash! My photos of this bird without flash are not as pleasing.
Thanks for showing us around yesterday. I think it was so hot I was getting disoriented, hehe. I think I got super dehydrated.
