I could not resist the description that Romy gave to this place and every word that he said is true. I did not get any good pictures of the Brahminy Kite as I wanted to, but the consolation price is that the food is really good especially the Charcoal grilled Hito and Crispy Fried Shrimps. I want to go back and try to take better pictures and of course eat there again. Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, EF 800mm f5.6 IS L Lens, Manfrotto 475B Tripod, MF 373 Gimbal Head On my way to the restaurant I passed by an open space and saw several Yellow & Cinnamon Bitterns frolicking around. I will try to go earlier next time to be able to get better shots. ISO 400, 1/500, f5.6 At the restaurant, I saw this Striated Heron, (Butorides striata) or Little Heron. ISO 200, 1/800, f8 I saw this Whiskered Tern (Chlidonias hybridus) with the most luscious red beak I have ever seen. ISO 200, 1/400, f8 I took this picture of the Brahminy Kite outside the restaurant and it looks like it had just captured a bird with his talons. ISO 400, 1/600, f10 This was taken with Canon EOS 1D Mark 4, EF 300mm f2.8 with 1.4X TC, Handheld ISO 400, 1/1600, f6.3 I will try to post more pictures of the Whiskered Tern in aerial maneuvers this weekend as I get to process them. Mabuhay.

Wonderful harvest Ely, I like the Tern in full breeding plumage with the red beak. The Tern with the water refection is also very nice. Yes, I agree it's a worthwhile trip.

In my description just before the picture of the Brahminy Kite I mentioned that it looks like it has something on its claw. Is it a bird?

Those are all wonderful shots, Ely! That tern with reflection is really something else too! :-) Thank you Bobby. It turned out nice because of the reflection of the bird on the water.

Great set Ely! I like the compositon and colors! Great work capturing many species on one trip! Thank you JV. Its always good to start early because the birds are awake before the roooster crows in the morning. I think we can learn something from the birds. They are up early because they are so happy to see another day and to start looking for food before the sun gets hot.
