Yep, I read about the new 450D via DP forum. It is the same price as the 400D. Nakakainis na ah. Sus. I'm sure the 400D's price will remarkably go down. Grrrr. I helped Kelly buy a 400D. Nakakaguilty.

Downside is the slow 3.5 fps, not very good for BIFS , . I guess the Japs can't even make it 5 fps because the 40D will surely take a big hit.

Trivia - compared to the old 6 MP 300D, the smaller pixels of the 450D will allow you to shoot more pixels per bird, as if using a 1.4x TC, but without light loss.
In other words, the following combos have equivalent "reach" in terms of pixel density:
300D + 400 5.6L + 1.4x TC @ f/8 = 450D + 400 5.6 L @ f/5.6
Amazing progress in 4 years!

Technology really progresses at a dizzying pace. I remember the time when I was so proud of my blazingly fast 486 computer running at around 40Mhz in Turbo mode. Now, even cell phones are faster than that! I wonder when the first 1 Gigapixel camera will come?
