This composite was the first 5 frames of a burst of 13 shots, all in very good focus. I included just the first 5 to make the layout more reasonable. I beg your pardon on the messed up forum page due to the wide photo, I promise not to do this very often. ;D ;D ;D With a good photo printer (inkjet) and continuous roll of paper, it might be possible someday to print the burst of 13 shots and exhibit it on a long wall as a 13" x101" (0.33 m x 2.56 m image), with good feather detail when seen from 10 inches away. Purple Heron ( Ardea purpurea, resident) Shooting info - Candaba wetlands, Pampanga, April 6, 2010, 7D + 400 2.8 IS + Canon 1.4x TC, 475B/3421 support, 560 mm, f/5.6, ISO 320, 1/1600 sec, manual exposure in available light, composite of 5 shots from a burst.

In the old days, the guy with the fastest gun is always sought for because everyone wants to beat this guy so that he would become the fastest gun alive. We are in a modern era now and I would want you to stay alive and show us more photos of this kind. Maybe we can learn to do the same when you keep on doing it by example. Bravo. Well done Romy. Mabuhay.

Thanks, folks for the comments! hi romy' wow very nice multiexposure' is this a multilayer or in one frame? These are 5 frames blended into one long panorama using Photomerge in PS, Renoir. I remove the birds first before blending the foreground and background, so as to be accurate in the detail of each lotus bulb, stem and leaves. Then I placed the birds in their right sequence, with correct flight trajectory. I did increase the horizontal distance between each bird when two birds overlap each other.

super duper great shots by our Mastah.
Just me here pondering --as these are the first five frames out of 13 there may be very little shifts to be seen in its flight trajectory. If you have some free time anytime, I would request to be able to see if possible a wider separations of the sequence shots, say for example here only, the series shots 1 3 6 8 11 13 with the foreground at the same reference/constant level.
I am imagining a more arched trajectory and quite intrigue me to see the flight and how you captured it expertly.
Thanks
