Here's my share of the Taiga Bean Goose, hanging out with a lot of Tufted Ducks. Mark W and Christian P of WBCP reported that the goose is now going after a Northern Shoveler. I am quite happy with the way my shots turned out. I was expecting worse since it was far away. Perhaps the nice weather had something to do with it. It was unusually cool at Candaba that day. Wonderful and excellent pictures. It is like I was there watching the story unfold. If golf has Tiger Woods as the best, Taiga Woods is the best goose in Candaba. Its such a huge bird and its peculiar affection for a duck is not a strange behavior because I have seen a goose mounting a duck in live action after giving the duck literally a wild goose chase. Well done Sylvia. Mabuhay.

Thanks Tina and Ely! Ely -- interesting to find out that geese aren't that picky! Looking forward to seeing your version of the Taiga Bean Goose!

Excellent captures Sylvia, love the wingspread. The Tufted ducks looks like hatchlings of this very large bird. I learned that they hunt the Bean Goose for food in Itvayat. The fellow said there were so many of them in the months of October and November and it is so easy to hunt these birds because of their size, pity these birds.

Awesome captures Sylvia! You're lucky to get an action shot with it spreading its wings.

Thanks for the comments!
@rey -- if that's true, then no wonder they don't reach here! They're all getting eaten in Itvayat? I wonder what else they've been catching over there.
