For the first picture, I had a hard time holding the camera steady because I was laughing at the comical facial expressions and antics of the birds! Wow these are super excellent captures. And you can still laugh while taking shots, if these scene presents to me I doubt if my heart beat and shots can be compensated by any IS (image stabilization)/

They do look funny because we seldom see something like this, but more important they all look so happy. You can see it in their eyes and they have a smiling face. It is so cheerful just to look at them. And of course my compliments to you for the excellent exposure, pose, composition, and catching the moment. Well done Sylvia. Mabuhay.

Excellent captures Sylvia of what look like prehistoric birds. Ths would be good documentation for our planned comprehensive Avian Image Database.

Thank you for the wonderful comments!! Really appreciate it. I really enjoy reading your reactions! This is what an even older chick looks like, with the purple feathers starting to come in: 1/320, f8, iso250, Canon 7D, EF300mm f/2.8L IS USM +1.4x, handheld

Very funny indeed! But I have to admire the clarity and sharpness of the pictures. It also somehow captured the "comical" emotions of the birds thanks for sharing

Pterodactyls!
I get the same feeling I look at those beautifully ugly bulldogs. Excellent shots, SYlvia, despite the suppressed giggling.
Where are they?
