I was driving the golf cart when I suddenly saw this little birdie about 2 meters away. Grabbed the camera and shot it. The little birdie did not even care that I was there. I am amazed at the noise control of the 7D. Indeed it is the king of APS-C. The Striated Grassbird (Megalurus palustris) is an "Old World warbler" species in the family Megaluridae. It was formerly placed in the Sylviidae. It is found in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Striated_GrassbirdCamera: Canon EOS 7D Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/2000) Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 600 mm ISO Speed: 3200 Exposure Bias: +1 EV Crop: 15.0MP from 18MP Support: Hand Held Exposure Program: Shutter speed priority AE Date and Time: 2010:04:01 08:53:05 Metering Mode: Partial Exposure Mode: Auto White Balance: Auto

Very impressive quality at high ISO. I am thinking of buying a 7D in the near future as I need a camera similar to this one that can be used very well inside cloud forests here in Costa Rica. Thanks for sharing

Thank you Ariel and JP.
I was prep for birds in flight as there were about 3 dozen Hill Swallows flying around the golf course. It was purely incidental that I saw the grass bird scurrying about near the 18th hole. It was oblivious to me because of the bugs?
ISO was set to Auto ISO. It was backlit though. No Noise Reduction applied.
