My family and I are currently in Monteverde for the holidays. My first day to go out to shoot bird was not productive except for some few 400mm f/5.6, 1/500s ISO400

I love the dramatic lighting. I love the eye contact. I love the depth of field isolating the head from the rest of the body/background. I love the dynamics of the bird making it look alive rather than stuffed. I just love the shot but.... Put a watermark dude. The photo's good enough to steal.

We all want to have a lot of birds in the bag when ever we go birding. Consider it a good consolation when you get a capture like this bird. Looking forward to better days ahead. This Blue-crowned Motmot is a beauty. Well done Ariel. Mabuhay.

I do not know if you notice that I always put my small name underneath the bird's foot. Although it remains to be seen whether it is effective or not but I just always think that there is always someone out there who can easily remove a watermark no matter how good it is. Regards.

Thank you very much Ely, Tina and Glenn. I just hope that I will be able to capture more birds in the coming days and to be able to share to all of you. Regards!
