hi, early morning in the forest of Initao i was waiting and hoping to capture the image of the Megapodius sp. but the bird is so very elusive. it did pass bye but so very quick and the bird is nowhere to be seen. i held my waiting and heared the familiar call yet unidentified. it came closer and saw the bird. capture some images but light condition is very poor. i wish to go back. if condition is similar what camera setting would one recommend. thanks in advance d5000 + SigEnigma, 500mm, TC 1.4x, ISO2000, 1/20s, f/8, tripod

The backlight is very strong. I think under this kind of situation you have to overexposed the picture by 8 or more notches to be able to see the bird. It looks like a Hooded Pitta to me.

Hi Renoir,
This is a Hooded Pitta. Steere's Pitta has a white throat.
Cheers, Adri
