I finally got my chance to visit the Lorenzo BCNH Farm. The place was teeming with birds. We saw this family at feeding time. Late in the sortie, I mustered enough courage to handhold a BIF Shot. Lastly, a perched one. Model: NIKON D300S F stop: F/9.0 Exposure: 1/400 sec. Focal length: 270.0 mm Cropped, Handheld Model: NIKON D300S F stop: F/9.0 Exposure: 1/200 sec. Focal length: 500.0 mm, cropped, gimbal support Model: NIKON D300S F stop: F/8.0 Exposure: 1/800 sec. Focal length: 500.0 mm, cropped, gimbal support All three levels adjusted. Cheers!

Definitely in love with the D300s Edu... may balita na ba kung reresibuhan na yang test unit natin, he, he, he...
Thanks Paolo! The babies were a late discovery for me an Bong. We were winding down the shoot when we noticed a pair of adults and some movements from beneath them.
Thanks Ka Mastah! Hope to shoot more birds at this quality. The nestlings are cute but can be very demanding when it comes to feeding.

thanks sir ely and mark! was so thrilled at the sight of the nest with its young inhabitants. the colony is really thriving.
on the BIF shots, sir ely, it was frustrating at first as i couldn't even find the bird in my viewfinder. bong game me a tip which i think worked. aiming the barrel at the flying bird before peeping at the viewfinder worked for me.

Hi Gabs .. great shots! Congrats with your D300s By the way, I notice some fringing in your images. I dunno if its my monitor but i suspect it is with your post processing.

thanks bong and glenn!
glenn, it's not yet mine. still waiting for mine to be delivered. we used a test unit courtesy of columbia.
On the fringing, Mark also noticed it. He also thinks it has something to do with post processing. He suspects aggressive sharpening, specially on the third picture.
thanks for the observation.
